PAAFF Film Club – Chan is Missing

Join us for the inaugural meeting of our new PAAFF Film Club! We’ll be discussing Wayne Wang’s feature debut Chan is Missing (1982).
Chan is Missing follows the adventures of two cabbies on their search through San Francisco’s Chinatown for a mysterious character who has disappeared with $4,000 of their money. Their quest illuminates the pitfalls of Chinese Americans trying to assimilate into contemporary American society.
*Please note we will not be screening the film during our Film Club meeting. Chan is Missing is available for free on Kanopy (accessed through The Free Library of Philadelphia).
