OUR STORIES ARE BEING ERASED. WE REFUSE TO LET THAT HAPPEN.

PAAFF is at a critical moment, but we are determined to not just survive, but to thrive through
these challenging times.

For over 18 years, the Philadelphia Asian American Film Foundation (PAAFF) has existed to keep stories alive and unite communities through film. We create essential and safe gathering spaces around powerful screenings, conversations, and cultural experiences, stories that the mainstream often overlooks.

Our work is for everyone.

What we do goes beyond film. We build communities for film lovers and independent filmmakers. We spotlight marginalized voices and curate real-time portraits of what it means to be Asian American.

Since becoming a foundation in 2025, PAAFF has:
● Welcomed +3000 event attendees.
● Brought +50 filmmakers to Philadelphia.
● Showcased 9 feature films and 65 short films from 23 countries during our annual festival.

PAAFF needs to raise $150,000 by March 1, 2026, to sustain our operations, support our artists, and continue serving our community year-round.

The world is dividing us. Converge with us instead.

If you have any questions about donations, please reach out to us through our contact page.

The Philadelphia Asian American Film Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation (EIN 92-2921308).

“By supporting PAAFF,
you are reaffirming our city’s commitment to telling our full history, and recognizing diversity as a strength to be celebrated.”

Robert Buscher,
Public Historian & Educator

"I really felt all the love and care the entire festival team put into the planning, programming and events. Met so many talented filmmakers and had the rare opportunity to just hang out with them over food and connect."

- Nick Hartanto, Director of Daly City
