Programming Co-Chairs
Job Responsibilities

- Coordinate and manage submissions process via FilmFreeway

- Assign submissions to programming committee members and check-in regularly
-
- Organize programming committee discussions towards end of submissions cycle and oversee selections process
-
- Communicate with selected filmmakers to coordinate timely delivery of design assets and other materials

- Compile copy deck (text and images) for Marketing Team to produce program guide layout
-
- Collect digital files for all short films and compile into single file for each program
-
- Manage Print Trafficking for digital and physical copies of all feature films, deliver/pick up from venues, and return ship at end of festival
-
- Conceptualize year-round programs with partner organizations and oversee their execution
- Liaison with other programming partners (PAPA, MAARC, 12G) to establish parameters around special programs and plan for their inclusion
Fundraising Co-Chairs
Job Requirements

- Hold monthly Fundraising Committee meetings to follow-up and track progress on funding
- Attend PAAFF General Meetings to give Fundraising Committee updates to general staff and other committees; sending email updates when not able to attend
Job Responsibilities

- Identify and connect with potential corporate sponsors and their representatives

- Attend corporate & community events when possible to develop relationships with potential sponsors and volunteers

- Coordinate with Marketing Team to update annual PAAFF Sponsorship Packet

- Research grants and other funding opportunities outside of corporate sponsorship

- Assist in grant writing process

- Plan annual fundraising events and campaigns (eg. Asian Chef Experience, Giving Tuesday campaign, etc…)

- Recruit volunteers for the fundraising committee and delegate tasks as fit

- Solicit ad space for Festival Program Book

- Assist in the creation of “Friends of PAAFF”; an individual donor/sponsorship program
- Assist in updating Sponsorship Tracking Sheet
Marketing Co-Chairs
Job Responsibilities

- Develop, oversee and evaluate yearly marketing strategy and branding techniques for PAAFF including brainstorming ideas to implementing large-scale plans

- Coordinate marketing efforts (print and digital) for events such as the annual film festival, fundraisers, and individual screenings

- Provide creative direction for design campaigns and design concepts

- Manage print collateral such as program books, ads and posters
-
- Oversee marketing committee: graphic design, website, social media and newsletter teams
- Conduct marketing research and analyze data and trends for the festival

Guest Services Co-Chairs
- Coordinate travel arrangements for festival VIP’s and Filmmakers to include hotels, airfare and other accommodation with budget in mind.
- Communicate with filmmakers regarding schedules, transportation, and other hospitality information
- Answer any questions filmmaker guests may have regarding the festival and/or the city.
- Work with Festival Director on industry accreditation for industry attendees of the festival.
- Organize Filmmaker’s brunch and other networking/appreciation events to include communication or reservations with restaurants or catering services.
- Work closely with Box Offices and Program Director to coordinate festival badges and complimentary tickets for filmmakers and VIP’s.
Volunteer Committee Co-Chairs
- Develop and maintain relationships with volunteers and volunteer sources such as service organizations, companies, university organizations, etc…
- Maintain open and prompt communication with potential and interested volunteers
- Recruit volunteers and expand volunteer network throughout the Philadelphia region and maintain volunteer contacts database
- Recruit and schedule volunteer coverage for PAAFF events and the Festival
- Oversee and manage PAAFF volunteers at PAAFF-hosted events, community partner events, and the annual festival
- Identify and invite new, promising PAAFF staff members
- Develop and lead the volunteer/shift leader training prior to the Festival
- Provide consistent communications and support to volunteers and shift leaders throughout the Festival
- Recruit and schedule Festival shift leadership and manage Festival event shift coverage.
- Attend Festival events and maintain contact with shift leadership to ensure smooth, effective delegation of duties to festival volunteers
- Coordinate and assist with the delivery and storage of PAAFF items, signage and assorted PAAFF property to and from location.
- Organize distribution of PAAFF marketing materials to volunteers for public advertising pushes and neighborhood canvassing, especially leading up to the Festival.
